Final version of AJAX Yahoo Mail 0.11 released

July 12, 2008 on 1:48 am | In General |

This is a complete rewrite of the extension and it lets you preview the message. I have tested it with Firefox 3.0 so not too sure if it will work with the older version. Test it and let me know if you face any problems.

  1. Works well for me, nice job. Minor issues I’m seeing:
-Shows the “Yahoo Mail Classic” header image on top of every mail preview, which is kinda not so ideal.
-Mails don’t get marked “read” when previewing. They appear read in the folder overview after previewing them, but the mail counter at the left doesn’t decrease, and moving away from the folder and returning again indeed has all mails unread as before.
-Seems like attachments aren’t shown in the preview.

  2. Thank-you for maintaining this indispensible browser extension.
When I open Yahoo! mail, all is good except the right-hand ends of lines are cut-off.
If I reduce the type to a very small size (almost unreadable)__the full line appears. That’s the only problem I’ve had.
Firefox 2.0.0.15. I’m waiting until my extensions work with 3.0, before updating. Sandboxie works just great for security!
If I make some money, I’ll contribute. Again, many thanks.
    Phil
